The Greatest of These is Love

Being close to Valentine’s Day, we talked about love. One person read poetry about the colours of God’s love and a powerful article about Corrie Ten Boom – the one where she confronts a former concentration camp guard (who had become a Christian) and was looking for forgiveness, for God’s love.

We also tried Doodle Praying (known as Praying in Colour -http://prayingincolor.com). We had First Nations artist Johnny Marceland and award winning singer Becky Thomas join us as well.

Perfect Artist Creator
The One who set us all in motion
And gives us purpose
We pray that You will inhabit us in a new way
Soften our calloused attitudes
Supersede our post-modern ideologies
Crack us open to bloom as if resurrected

We concede our limited vision
Still larger than we have the ability to express,
To Your vision of the restoration of all things to Yourself

Transform our art

Speak, Creator of all
Through the fragments of our art
That we may see our rightful place inside your mosaic
And in seeing, become who we already are in Christ
Perfect in us the art of imitating Jesus
The One who entered into humanity’s depths and poured Himself out
A living sacrifice
